When I was a little girl, I loved dressing up in my mother’s beautiful saris. It’s funny how you never quite outgrow some things. This fascination with style and fashion has guided me since childhood, in both my personal and professional lives.

It was June 2009. I was cleaning out my over-cramped, undersized NYC closet and I was struck by the stacks of scarves and wraps I had accumulated. I loved them, but rarely wore them. I don’t know what came over me, but in a fit of inspiration, I grabbed a pair of scissors and started cutting. Fast forward countless designs and I had created a versatile fashion solution.

I strongly believe the old adage is true: the best ideas are often the simplest. For me, The Bina™ is a childhood dream come true. This process of bringing my vision to life has empowered me immeasurably. I hope The Bina™ will enable all women who wear it to feel confident, fashionable and beautiful.
